ClockMate (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a two-player chess clock for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. In short: the app collects no personal data, shows no ads, and uses no tracking.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no server backend operated by us. We do not know who you are and we cannot identify you.
Information Stored on Your Device
Your preferences — clock setups, theme selection, language, and sound settings — are stored locally on your device only, using the operating system’s standard local storage. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us or to any third party. Deleting the app removes this local data.
Purchases
The app is free and unlocks all features for everyone. It offers only optional, voluntary donations (“tip jar”) to support development — there is no paid unlock, subscription, or paywall. All payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or have access to your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.). Purchases are handled under the stores’ own privacy policies:

Donations are one-time, consumable purchases; there is nothing to restore.
Advertising and Analytics
The app contains no advertisements, no analytics, and no third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
Device Permissions
The app requests no special device permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or files. The app may keep the screen awake during a game so the clock stays visible; this uses no personal data.
Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Data Security
Because the app collects and transmits no personal data, there is no personal data for us to lose or expose. Locally stored preferences are protected by your device’s standard security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is available in-app and on our website, with the “Last updated” date shown above.
