These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the ClockMate application (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control. You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent permitted by law; (c) rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the app; or (d) remove any proprietary notices.
2. In-App Purchases
The app is free and all features are available to everyone. There is no paid unlock, subscription, or paywall. The app offers only optional, voluntary “tips” (donations) to support development.
- All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms and refund policies.
- Tips are one-time, consumable purchases and, as a rule, non-refundable.
- Tipping is entirely optional and unlocks no additional features — every feature is free with or without a tip.
- We do not process or store any payment information.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. While reasonable care has been taken to provide accurate timekeeping, we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for official competition. In any official or rated game, the arbiter-approved clock and tournament rules prevail; do not rely on this app as the official timing device unless permitted by the relevant authority.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any disputed game result.
5. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, and assets, is owned by the developer and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no ownership rights in the app.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is available in-app and on our website, with the “Last updated” date shown above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
